April Attitude: Two weeks in.

Well, I’m halfway through my little challenge for this month, which is changing my attitude. And to be honest, it’s been hard. Harder than I thought for sure. It wasn’t so much the bigger things, it is the little things. The little things I choose to be annoyed at, or get down about, or frustrated at.

The first few days were fun, and I was motivated and trying to be super positive. {Its always that way when you start something new huh!?} And then life hit, and I had to remember my challenge! I have found a few things that have helped me change my attitude, and I wanted to share them with you. So here they are:

* I’m SO unfocused and way more negative if I have not spent time reading at least ONE bible passage. So I try each morning to read, {or at least listen too!} one reading of scripture a day.

* If I pile too much on my “to do” list, It makes me stressed and annoyed. I feel like I haven’t accomplished as much as I should. I really found this past few weeks that the more realistic I make that list, the better I feel. Instead of cramming 129 things on it and getting upset that not all of them are done at the end of the day, I start with 15, and then if I have time, have done them all or feel up to it, I add more. But it WAY better to start smaller and feel good about what you have done, rather than run yourself into the ground and wind up stressed and annoyed.

* Take time to sit. Breathe. Pray. Being quite and calm for a few minutes each day helps me to relax and re focus.

These may seem like simple things, but they have really helped me these past two weeks! So, bring on the next two!

For those of you who are doing this challenge with me, how have you been going? Do you have any tips and tricks to add? I would love to hear from you!

Love,

New Little *April-Attitude* Wife
